Our mission

We believe golf should be within everyone's reach.

Our mission is to promote, develop and democratise golf, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to take up the sport. We work to remove geographic, economic and cultural barriers, bringing golf closer to the community through innovation, technology and training. We also want to create experiences that encourage well-being, personal development, contact between generations and active, healthy lifestyles.

We are committed to contributing to the development of the region, valuing Portugal's interior as a place of innovation, entrepreneurship and opportunity. Through partnerships with public, educational, social and sports organisations, we are building a sustainable, inclusive project with a positive impact on the community.

Our goal is simple: to make golf more accessible, more modern and closer to people.

Our story

The story of Fundão Golf Club began with a simple idea: to create something the region did not yet have.

In an area where golf has always had little presence, a group of enthusiasts began to imagine a different model, one that could overcome the traditional limits on access to golf and reach new audiences. From this vision came the Club, a non-profit association built from the very first moment on volunteering, mutual help and the dedication of its founding members.

The clubhouse came about in the same way: a space restored almost entirely by the voluntary work of the members, opening its doors in November 2026.

Our story is only just beginning, but it already shows what we want to be: a club built by people, for people.

The project

The Fundão Golf Club clubhouse is a new concept for the region: a fully indoor space dedicated to playing, practising and promoting golf. It is a modern, accessible environment where experienced players and beginners develop their skills all year round, whatever the weather.

The space has 2 bays equipped with high-precision launch monitors and immersive projection systems, which analyse every shot, collect technical data in real time and make it possible to follow each player's progress.

Members play virtually on some of the most prestigious golf courses in the world without leaving Fundão, an experience of leisure, competition and good company, both for federation players and for anyone trying the sport for the first time.
