As part of the membership application process, we collect the following personal data:
- Full name
- Address
- Tax number (optional)
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Phone number
- Information about federation membership
- Optional notes you choose to share
On the contact form we collect your name, email, phone number (optional) and the message you send us.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Reviewing and managing the membership application
- Responding to requests sent through the contact form
- Contacting you by email or phone about club communications, news and partnerships, with your express consent
- Complying with the association's legal and statutory obligations
The legal basis for processing is the consent of the data subject and the association's legitimate interest in managing its members.
4. Data Retention
Data is kept for as long as necessary to manage the membership relationship and to comply with applicable legal obligations. If an application is not approved, the data is deleted within 90 days of the decision.
5. Data Sharing
Your data is not sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be shared with the Portuguese Golf Federation when required for affiliation purposes, and with service providers acting on behalf of the club, always with the same level of protection.
6. Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request the correction of inaccurate data
- Request the deletion of your data
- Object to processing or request its restriction
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD)
